Abstract
In the review I discuss Paweł Mackiewicz’s book paying special attention to his methodological choices and their consequences. I argue that traditional philological methods are insufficient to present the innovative and experimental character of Sendecki’s poetry. Mackiewicz is rightly sceptical toward deconstructive interpretations but he does not transform ideas proposed by “deconstructive reviewers” and returns to interpretation rooted in representationalism. I argue that it is necessary to elaborate on such an interpretative method that would not petrify the poem and – at the same time – would capture something beside conclusions concerning the crisis of representation. I underline the value of relational reading where the level of representation equals the level of material dimension of the poem, thus subordinating interpretation to the regime of immanence. In this case, the “meaning” of a poem ceases to be more important than its “existence”, and both modes become dynamic as they reveal inevitable involvement of literature in social relations. Dans ma critique, j’analyse le livre de Paweł Mackiewicz Sequel. O poezji Marcina Sendeckiego en soulignant les conséquences des choix méthodologiques de l’auteur de cette monographie. Je tente de démontrer que le critique qui se sert des outils de la philologie « traditionnelle » ne peut pas prouver entièrement le caractère innovant et expérimental de l’oeuvre de Sendecki. Mackiewicz, à juste raison, reste sceptique envers la lecture déconstructive mais en même temps, il ne cherche pas à étudier profondément les thèses des critiques fidèles à cette méthode, il rentre au modèle d’interprétation fondé sur la confiance entière au représentalisme. Dans mon article, j’argumente pour la nécessité de la création des instruments interprétatifs qui ne pétrifieront pas le poème mais aussi n’amèneront pas aux conclusions sur la crise de la présentation. Selon moi, la lecture relationnelle est primordiale, son niveau représentatif est égal à une dimension matérielle de l’existence du poème en subordonnant ainsi l’interprétation au régime de l’immanence. Dans un cas pareil, la « signification » de l’oeuvre cesse d’être plus importante que « son existence », les deux modi prennent un caractère dynamique car ils démontrent l’implication inéluctable de la littérature dans les relations sociales.
