Fifty years of Mykolayiv expedition

Abstract
The article describes the history of creation and working path of Ingul (from 1980 – Mykolayiv complex expedition) construction expedition Institute of Archaeology of Academy of Sciences of USSR (now – National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine). Initially listed all the staff, who founded the expedition. The following summary lists the studies that covered almost all areas of Mykolayiv region. Also mentioned an archaeological work conducted by Mykolayiv expedition outside the area. As a result of these studies, a wealth of scientific material was gathered, which is studied by scientists to date, made important archaeological discoveries. Hundreds of archaeological sites at different times was running in scientific revolution. The staff of the expedition over the years significantly improved methods of archaeological research, discovered new methods of excavation. It is noteworthy that their fruitful work continues today. Mykolayiv expedition became the school for many of today's archeologists – the highest level professionals. Via its materials are protected by dozens of master's and doctoral theses. Was published a number of monographs and collections, hundreds of articles and publications devoted to materials produced by employees of the expedition. In conclusion, the author tried to estimate the contribution of Mykolayiv expeditions to archaeological science.
