Abstract
An important factor in achieving a high level of socio-economic development of the state is providing an adequate mechanism for functioning of the food market, the peculiarities of the formation of the food market of Ukraine are consid- ered taking into account the growing role of globalization factors, the state of the food market and the ways of its development based on the experience of developed countries are noted.
