Formation of structure and properties of titanium alloy wire VT1-0 for medicine in heat treatment

Abstract

The aim of this study is to obtain in the wire with the diameter 1.2 mm made of alloy VT1-0 the complex of required properties: high ductility and lower strength to provide the operation during the surgical procedure (for example, in conjunction of bone fractures). The paper is investigated the structure, mechanical properties of the wire in the initial state after production and after following various heat treatment. It is established the effect of heat treatment under different conditions on the structure and properties of alloy VT1-0, as well as the changing of the alloy mechanical properties in the initial state after production during subsequent thermal treatments, that influence on the qualitative index and products exploitation terms.
