Identification of Concentration and Residence Time Distributions with One-Dimension Diffusion Model at Close Boundary Conditions

Journal Title: Science Paper Online - Year 2006, Vol 1, Issue 1

Abstract

The paper identified the concentration and residence time distributions by analytically solving Laplace transformation of a one-dimension diffusion model. The model was built-up at the close boundary conditions with the pulse input of the tracer into reactor. The response curves of concentration at the outlet of reactor were presented at the different values of Peclet number. Furthermore, the changes of the concentration with time and location in the reactor were described for a fixed Peclet number. The comparisons of the response curves of the concentration were made for the open and close boundary conditions. Also, the characteristics of residence time distribution were discussed.
