Improving the quality of higher education as a factor of the development and modernization of the content of educational process

Abstract
The article deals with the problem of improving the quality of higher education as a factor of the development and modernization of the content of educational process. The author analyzes the definition “the quality of higher education” of different scientists. The author discloses the basic principles, trends, factors and prerequisites of the quality assurance. The article determines the theoretical aspects of the standards and recommendations, the activities of higher education and the evaluation of the quality of modern higher education.
