ISSUE OF TEACHER COMPETENCIES IN RELIGIOUS EDUCATION

Abstract

Aim of this study is to compare initial teacher training is given as certificate program with is given in undergraduate program in department of teaching of Religious culture and Moral Knowledge (RCMK) influence of attitude and proficiency of preservice teachers. Qualitative and quantitative data collection techniques were used together under mixed models. As a result of research is it has been found out statistically significant difference of attitude and proficiency of preservice teachers of initial teacher training which is given in undergraduate program. In addition to teacher candidates says initial teacher training which is given certificate program are inadequate in training qualified teachers of religion. it was determined that problems for this courses such as inadequacy of teachers, content and quality of courses, period of program, internship and evaluation methods. Participates stated that initial teacher training be required to have given in undergraduate program and there should be departments in faculty of theology.
