K. D USHINSKY ABOUT THE CHRISTIAN ESSENCE OF THE MORAL AND SPIRITUAL EDUCATION OF PRESCHOOL CHILDREN

Abstract
The author of the article analyzes the pedagogical ideas and literary heritage of K. D. Ushinsky which are widely used in moral and spiritual upbringing of preschool children. K. D. Ushinsky was a representative of the religious pedagogical approach of pedagogical science of the 19th and early 20th centuries in the field of the essence, subject and functions of spiritual and moral upbringing. According to the concepts of modern Ukrainian scientists (V. Vorozhbit, I. Sidanich, O. Stiopina, O. Sukhomlinskaya, etc.) other approaches to the spiritual and moral education of the personality of this period have been defined the materialistic and idealistic approaches. The religious pedagogical approach enabled the disclosure and interpretation of the meaning of human existence. The representatives of the religious and pedagogical approach considered moral and spiritual upbringing in integrative unity with the aesthetic upbringing. Moral and spiritual upbringing, as K. D. Ushinsky said, should be directed at raising a child's heart as the center of his / her spiritual life. The scientist argued that the need for faith, religiosity, spiritual self-improvement is innate. These innate needs are observed in children especially distinctly. Therefore, they should be ennobled, developed, filled with Christian contents. K. D. Ushinsky wrote about the importance of bringing up children on national and cultural traditions. The peculiarity of the national moral and spiritual upbringing is its Christian vector, as it is known that religiosity is a mental feature of the Ukrainian people, and the spirituality of Ukrainians cannot be imagined without Christian moral values. The ideas of K. D. Ushinsky, confirming that the Christian essence of moral spiritual upbringing, and defining it as the central facet in the national cultural direction as the development of national speech, turn us to the wealth of national belletristic literature. The philosophical and pedagogical experience of the Christian essence of the moral and spiritual upbringing of an individual and the literary heritage of K. D. Ushinsky are still relevant and effectively used in the direction of moral and spiritual upbringing of modern preschoolers.
