KINEMATIC AND POWER PARAMETERS OF THE PROCESS OF THE THICK PLATES STIFFENERS FORMING

Abstract
Purpose. To develop the experimental technique for evaluating the reliability of the calculation model of the elastic-plastic deformation of thick sheet parts with stiffening elements, determining the limiting parameters of the process corresponding to the stress-strained state of the blank material, which guarantees the absence of reject on the finished product. Methodology. Based on the methods of the variational calculus, as well as joint solution of the equations of equilibrium of the rift ending element and plasticity the possibility of forming the rift endings with a shortened punch in conditions when a part of the ending of the rift is freely deformed out of contact with the forming tool is scientifically substantiated. It allowed to avoid the formation of folds on the flat elements of the workpiece and material rupture of the rift ending. Results. It is determined that the signs of reject on the stamped blank are eliminated at the clamping pressure, which is 32–36 per cent of the deforming force. The formation of corrugations (loss of stability) on the flat elements of the workpiece occurs when the end of the relief is formed with a shortened punch. The analysis of the stress-strained state during the forming with a shortened punch and the punch, the length of which corresponds to the length of the longitudinal relief is presented. The zones of the maximum shear (tangential) and normal stresses are determined. Originality. In modeling the embossing in the standard ANSYS package complex the points of the dividing grid, marked on the experimental samples were connected with the reference points of the finite element model. A further development of the method of the numerical analytical calculation of the stress-strained state of elements of the rift using a single differential equation is possible. In this study during the processing of the experimental results the finite element approximation was used. This allowed to exclude the measurements of the numerical values of the mesh sizes directly on the sample and to analyze the digital picture of the area under study. The measurements of the coordinates of the grid nodes were implemented in the Autocad program after photographing the grid. Practical value. The guantitative evaluation of the experimental data from the forming with a shortened punch was carried out with the help of the methods of mathematical statistics.
