LEGAL REGULATION OF LIABILITY OF THE CARRIER UNDER THE CONTRACT OF THE INTERNATIONAL MARITIME TRANSPORTATION OF PASSENGERS AND LUGGAGE

Abstract
The article is devoted to the study and analysis of the features of civil regulation of liability of the carrier under a contract of international carriage of passengers and luggage by sea transport at the national and international levels. The research defines civil liability foundations for sea carriers and their legitimate reason; identifies the shortcomings of this institute based on comparison of norms of international treaties and the national legislation of Ukraine. Based on the analysis of theoretical and practical features of the researched system the author highlighted a number of legislative consolidation shortcomings of responsibility basis and boundaries of the carrier under a contract of international carriage of passengers and luggage by sea in Ukraine.
