MACHINE TRANSLATION: "PROS" AND "CONS"

Abstract
The problems of machine translation are examined in the article, positive and negative aspects of the use of computer translation in professional activity are con-sidered. Computerization of information technologies stimulates the development of linguistics, namely applied linguistics, which is the subject of modern research and development. Considerable attention in the publication is focused on the problems of applying modern machine translation systems in the translations of texts of various functional styles.
