METHODOLOGICAL APPROACHES TO THE DETERMINATION OF THE CONCEPT OF THE USE OF THE INTERNET NETWORK FOR CRIME PREVENTION

Abstract
Based on the research conducted, it is established that the concept of using the Internet to prevent crime should be understood as a system of tools based on the technological capabilities of the Internet as a global information system for common access that is used to identify, eliminate, neutralize the causes and conditions of crime. When carrying out crime prevention activities, it is possible to use a wide range of Internet capabilities, in particular: cartography of criminological information, Internet technologies of things, cloud technologies, monitoring of social networks, etc. Communication capabilities of the Internet allow significantly improve the level of information exchange between law enforcement agencies and citizens.
