Model Predictive Control of 4-Leg 3-Level FCC Converter - Influence of Model Parameter Mismatch

Journal Title: Power Electronics and Drives - Year 2018, Vol 2018, Issue 1

Abstract

This paper presents control method of 4-leg 3-level Flying Capacitor Converter (FCC) operating as Shunt Active Pow-er Filter (SAPF), based on Model Predictive Control with Finite number of Control States (FS-MPC). Current control and capacitor voltage balancing are described. Influence of the inductive filter model parameters mismatch on the current control precision is analyzed. Results are supported by experimental waveforms obtained on 10 kVA setup.
