Modification of proverbs as a method of estimation forming in discourse

Abstract
In the article the basic evaluation-pragmatic types of the German modified proverbs with lexical substitution are analyzed. We attempted to detect basic groups of the modified proverbs with lexical substitution on their evaluation-pragmatic orientation in discourse; to describe the main functional descriptions of the modified proverbs participating in forming of authorial estimation and discursive intension. General values and ambiguousness of proverbs serve as axiological cognitive-communicative basis for their modification. An evaluation value of the modified proverb is the integral product of synergy of literal and phraseological values of the usual proverb and the value of the modified proverb in discourse. Positive and negative evaluations in discourse are formed as a result of the polysemantization and contribute to the positive or negative orientation of the addressee in an imperative aspect as an advice, a direction, a recommendation. The axiological value of the modified proverbs reflects the subjective authorial interpretation of the discursive situation on the basis of the evaluation-pragmatic potential of the usual proverbs due to drawing attention to the evaluation of situation by means of double actualization and discursive specification; due to the reliable rational evaluation interpretation of the reality represented by the society; due to the indirect suggesting by means of the evaluating background knowledge; due to the emotional and intellectual impact on the addressee; finally, due to the openness of the estimation interpretation by the addressee. The discursive evaluation of the modified proverbs has an integrative character
