Abstract
Nurses who provide 24-hour care should be ready to assist in life-threatening states, especially in in-hospital cardiac arrest. According to the Polish law, nurse practitioners have the right to carry out the resuscitation treatment. Therefore nurses should use their qualifications and apply the latest recommendations referring to the states of emergency.
