Ocena komfortu podróży w komunikacji miejskiej

Abstract
The objective of the paper was the study on the level of travel comfort as perceived by passengers using municipal public transport. The research was exemplified with results from the observations of passenger flow on tramway line No14 in Krakow’s city transit system. A practical objective was an analysis of number of people using tramway lines and a relationship of these parameters in terms of time of the day and day of the week. The aim of the data analysis was to assist in defining whether the tramway provides comfort of travelling to passengers in terms of congestion, and whether tramway vehicles arrive at the stops with sufficient frequency. The gathered data allowed to determine whether transit planning system of the line No14 works correctly or it needs modifying. The article comprises three parts. The first part was devoted to definition and theoretical description of issues connected with comfort of travel. It also contains definitions of basic issues connected with the topic. The second part contains description of the tramway vehicles type and the route they travel on. It also comprises description of measurement methods, and places and times the measurements were taken. In the third part results of studies and their analysis were presented, based on which conclusions can be drawn.
