ORGANIZATION OF TORTURE INVESTIGATION

Abstract
The key to the investigation of torture in the investigator’s work is the correctness of planning and organizing the crime itself. A person authorized to receive information about a fact of torture may receive information from the victim himself, that is, when he has filed a statement about the fact of committing an offense, or by the self-disclosure of this fact. From the moment of receiving information, the investigator enters it into a single registry of pre-trial investigation and commences an investigation. The investigator’s procedure is divided into the initial, next and final stages of the investigation, and determines the tasks to be performed at each of these stages, which is included in the investigation plan. The investigation plan may be oral or written. Also, in the plan, the investigator indicates the cooperation with other units.
