Original or generic combined topic glucocorticosteroid. What are the differences?

Abstract

The task of the doctor is to choose the optimal (from a clinical and economic point of view) for the patient drug among numerous analogues drugs containing the same active pharmaceutical ingredient (API). In the pharmacological market, represented by 350 thousand drugs, generic drugs dominate. This tendency remains in Ukraine: 85 % of all medicines are generic (reproduced) drugs and only 15 % are original. Even the drugs with the same composition of the API are different in the site of action, strength and duration of the action. The article discusses the necessary conditions for recognizing the generic identity of the original drugs: pharmaceutical, biological and therapeutic equivalence of these drugs were proved. Attention is focused on the possibility of emergence of the optical isomers and polymorphism in the production of drugs. The importance of the ointment base and the auxiliary substances of the drug that are responsible for its stability during storage, facilitate the delivery of the active drug to the site of immediate action and timely release at the site of application. Using the drug Triderm, an effective and safe means for external therapy of dermatoses complicated by bacterial, fungal or mixed microflora, whose active substances are well studied and have a high safety profile, the priorities in the production of the original drug were identified and significant differences from generic drugs were detected. Application of cream and ointment Triderm guarantees the patient a rapid and effective resolution of the pathological process, prevents the development of chronic disease, gives a pronounced economic effect without the appointment of unreasonable methods of diagnosis and the use of additional therapies.
