ОСОБЛИВОСТІ СЕМАНТИКИ ВІДДІЄСЛІВНИХ ІМЕННИКІВ УКРАЇНСЬКОЇ ТА РОСІЙСЬКОЇ МОВ

Abstract
The article deals with theoretical and practical questions of the semantics of verbal nouns in the aspect of the problem of translation from closely related languages, namely the Ukrainian one. The author characterizes and systematizes the meaning of verbal nouns in the light of the methods and methods of their translation from Russian into Ukrainian. The relevance of the study is due to the fact that the semantic field of the verbal nouns of both languages is constantly expanding, which leads to interlingual polysemy and requires an explanation of derivational values and the determination in the translation of specific cases of the use of nouns formed from verbs. The main goal of the research is to determine the peculiarities of the semantics of verbal nouns in Russian and Ukrainian languages. The object of consideration is the verbal nouns of modern Ukrainian and Russian literary languages. The subject of the description are the peculiarities of the translation of verbal nouns from Russian into Ukrainian. Verbal nouns as elements of the language system with the meaning of abstract action and state constitute a separate lexical-grammatical class of words of modern Ukrainian and Russian literary languages. Representing in the language the category of nouns, on the one hand, they have the meaning of objectivity, on the other hand they retain the verbal semantics of processuality or state.
