PEDAGOGICAL IMPLICATIONS V.E. FRANKL’S ANTHROPOLOGY

Abstract

This text is based on the assumption that we can consider the problem of man’s education based on the adoption of certain anthropological assumptions, i.e. first we should answer the questions: “who is a man,” “what are the most important human traits.” On this basis, the author chose to analyze the concept of Viennese psychiatrist Viktor Emil Frankl. This concept is based on strong anthropological assumptions, and some of them have been described in the text in the pedagogical context (i.e. man as a spiritual, intentional, free and responsible creature). This concept answers the question (crucial for pedagogical considerations, especially upbringing) for the place of the meaning of life in human existence. We can assume that the most important question for a man is crucial to his upbringing. Therefore, the concept of man’s education should be built around the answer to this question.<br/><br/>
