POLISH SEAPORTS IN MARKET ECONOMY

Abstract
Transformation of Polish economy and of its environment, especially in countries of Central and East Europe, has far reaching consequences for the national economy, foreign trade and connections with international hinterland. This process, proceeding towards formation of market economy, is very strongly reflected in Polish port economy. Polish seaports are faced by the necessity of solving many strategic problems, generated by the new conditions of functioning and development. In result structural changes in port economy are necessary, and corresponding directions of development of port structures along Polish coastline must be formulated.
