Abstract
In the article, based on the analysis of scientific views of scientists, theoretical approaches to understanding the concepts of "employee" and "employer" are researched. It is stressed that for today the term "worker" should be considered acceptable, and clarifying its notion "worker" and "official". It has been established that, unlike an employee, the employer is a more universal subject of labor law, since it engages not only in its own labor relations (individual), but also in collective labor and other legal relationships, which are closely linked with labor
