PRACTICE OF THE EUROPEAN COURT OF HUMAN RIGHTS IN THE FIELD OF PROVIDING GENDER EQUALITY AND ITS APPLICATION IN UKRAINE: THEORETICAL AND LEGAL ASPECTS

Abstract
The article deals with the theoretical and legal aspects of the practice of the European Court of Human Rights in the field of ensuring gender equality in Ukraine. It is emphasised that the application of case law of the ECHR by the courts of Ukraine will facilitate the approximation of the national legal system with European human rights standards in the context of gender equality and will ensure the protection of human rights and freedoms in interstate relations. The individual decisions of the ECHR in the field of gender equality are analysed. The ECHR judgements on disputes over gender discrimination are systematized.
