PROBLEMS AND PROSPECTS OF ADOPTING THE ELECTORAL CODE OF UKRAINE

Abstract
The article deals with the problems and prospects of the adoption of the Electoral Code of Ukraine. It is stated that the adoption of the Electoral Code of Ukraine is one of the main directions of improving the domestic electoral legislation, which is today quite branched and somewhat unbalanced. Adoption of the Electoral Code will unify the main electoral procedures, harmonize the electoral legislation of Ukraine and make it more accessible and understandable. It is concluded that the haste and excessive politicization of the process of adopting the Electoral Code of Ukraine can dampen all its positive achievements and turn it into another electoral law, which was approved for a particular type of election.
