Professionally Important Marketer Qualities as a Component in the Culture of Professional Communication

Abstract

The article is devoted to the definition of professionally important qualities of the personality of marketing specialists, which form the basis of the culture of professional communication. The article deals with the content of marketing as a professional activity and the main activities of a marketer. The essence of the concept of «professionally important qualities» is determined, their main categories are defined: leading and basic. It is substantiated that the structure of professionally important qualities is a complicated and internally differentiated system education, which determines the success of mastering and performing professional (labor) activity. It is determined that the content of a professional marketer in the context of business communication can be understood as an integrative characteristic of the personality of a specialist characterized by a combination of knowledge about the essence, structure and functions of professional communication, the formation of abilities for the implementation of business communication in the marketing sphere and the professional personal qualities that allow the marketer perform their duties at a high level. On the basis of the content, the professiogram has defined abilities: analytical (collection and processing of information, its evaluation, comparison, generalization); intellectual (critical thinking, choice of ways of activity, forecasting of results), communicative (openness in communication, establishing contact, establishing relationships, development of skills of verbal and nonverbal communica- tion, professional competence, etc.), organizational (goal setting, planning, division of responsibilities between people, influence on other people, management of their actions of people). The professionally important personal qualities of a marketer in the context of the culture of professional communication are outlined: creativity (propensity to creativity); erudition; criticality; demanding responsibility (ability to assume responsibility for performance); flexibility (ability to respond adequately to changes in professional situations); desire for order, manufacturability and normativity; energy; self-confidence, decisions taken; determination; purposefulness, efficiency; self-control and self-control; the desire for constant personal growth.
