PROSPECTS FOR PRODUCTION OF BRIQUETTE FUEL IN GEORGIA

Abstract
Researches for determination of possibility for manufacturing of briquette fuel on the basis of utilization of local energy-bearing wastes were carried out in Georgia for the first time. The study of the elaborated technology and obtained compositions revealed that seven briquette compositions – three of them being obtained from biomaterial and four from mixed carbonaceous composition briquettes – were the best by their properties from the point of view of ecology and economy. The carried out investigation made it clear that there were perspectives for production of briquette fuel in our country and its implementation will promote both resolving of the problem of energy and reduction of environmental tension.
