Abstract
У статті аналізується професійна спадщина видатних вітчизняних педагогів XVІІ – XIX ст., визначаються пріоритетні риси української педагогічної думки. Автор доходить висновків, що діяльність М. Смотрицького, П. Беринди, Б. Грінченка, М. Драгоманова, Х. Алчевської мала великий вплив на розвиток української педагогічної думки, а їх надбання можуть бути взяті до уваги та адаптовані в умовах сучасної освіти провідними фахівцями.
