Publishing activity of the statistical committees of the Belarusian provinces (the 1830s – the beginning of the 1900s)

Abstract
The article is devoted to the publishing activity of the statistical committees of five Belarusian provinces (Vilna, Vitebsk, Grodno, Minsk and Mogilev). It is explicated the basic positions of the legislation, which is based on this activity of committees. The attention is focused on the role of secretaries and members of committees at the publication works. Moreover, the articlereveals the main groups of publications of the committees of Belarusian provinces. These groups include the memorial books, reviews of provinces, publications, dedicated to the activities of the statistical committees (reports, minute-books), publications in the informal part of the provincial gazette and different irregular publications (collections, works, separate publications and brochures).
