QUESTION IMPROVE THE MECHANISM OF PROTECTION OF RIGHTS AND FREEDOMS IN CONNECTION WITH THE CONSTITUTIONAL TRANSFORMATION IN UKRAINE

Abstract
The article examines the issues of improvement of the mechanism for human rights and freedoms protection in the context of constitutional reformation in Ukraine. The activity of the Constitutional Commission – a specialized subsidiary body of the President of Ukraine – is analyzed as well. The author points out the necessity of deep critical understanding of the proposed by Constitutional Commission amendments to the Constitution of Ukraine in the light of their compliance with universally recognized principles laid down in international, particularly European, standards on human rights and freedoms protection.
