Radiographic assessment of cancer therapeutics-related cardiac dysfunction at different times

Journal Title: Journal of Air Force Medical University - Year 2023, Vol 44, Issue 8

Abstract

At present, the incidence of malignant tumors in our country is on the rise. With the improvement of the survival rate of cancer patients, how to minimize the long-term complications of cancer treatment has become the focus of clinical research. Cardiac dysfunction induced by anticancer therapy is the main cause of morbidity and mortality in cancer survivors. Early detection and continuous monitoring of cardiac dysfunction are key factors to improve the prognosis of patients. In this paper, we summarize the definition of cancer therapeutics-related cardiac dysfunction ( CTRCD), and review the advantages of various imaging methods in different periods of CTRCD. It aims to help clinicians identify heart injury as early as possible within the scope of cancer treatment strategies, so as to reduce heart injury and improve the prognosis of cancer patients.
