Reactive Power Control of Thyristor Controlled Reactor using Neuro - Fuzzy Controller
Journal Title: Gazi Üniversitesi Fen Bilimleri Dergisi Part C: Tasarım ve Teknoloji - Year 2019, Vol 7, Issue 2
Abstract
In this study, the reactive power of thyristor controlled reactor (TCR) that is fundamental element of flexible ac transmission system devices is controlled using neuro-fuzzy controller. Adaptive neuro fuzzy inference system (ANFIS) is used as neuro-fuzzy control architecture. A simulation model was developed in MATLAB / Simulink environment to examine the performance of the proposed controller. In addition to this, the tracking performance of the reference reactive power in different simulation cases of ANFIS controller based TCR is compared with the conventional Proportional Integral (PI) controller.

Comparing Crisp and Fuzzy DEA Approaches for The Launch Vehicle Selection Problem of A Communication Satellite Operator
In space industry, launch vehicle selection for a satellite is a critical managerial and technical decision making problem. Depending on the selected launch vehicle, launch cost can vary from 20 % to 50 % of the total co...
The Synthesis and Characterization of Calcium Carbonate in the Presence of Polyelectrolyte and Experimental Design
In this study, calcium carbonate (CaCO3) was synthesized by means of ultrasonic irradiation process in the presence of the water-soluble polyelectrolyte Poly(Vinyl Sulfonic Acid) (PVS). Synthesized CaCO3 crystals were ch...
A New Hydrotherapy Exercise Device’s Conceptual Design with Systematical Design Approach
Today, many fitness devices are used for doing physical exercises as a result of inactive life. These devices usually focus on fundamentally working of a muscle or muscle group. For this purpose hydrotherapy which is phy...
Comparison of Drum-type and Disc-type Magnetorheological Brakes by Computational Methods
This paper presents a comparison between drum-type and disc-type magnetorheological brakes, based on torque density and efficiency. Magnetic simulations of the parametric brake designs are carried out in FEMM finite elem...
