Refusal in the Light of Politeness Principle: Communicative and Pragmatic Aspects (Based on Modern British Drama)

Abstract
The article is devoted to the analysis of refusal in personages’ speech of British Drama.The specificity of refusal tactics realization in the personages’ remarks in the light of Politeness Principle and the ways of its mitigation are researched.
