RESERVES FOR THE EXPANSION OF THE SYSTEM OF PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES

Abstract
The article examines the possibility of expanding the system of precautionary measures by including the duties provided for in Part 5 of Article 194 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine, and a thorough legal regulation of the latter. First, this will allow us to come closer to the requirements of the legal certainty principle in the regulation of measures to secure the criminal proceedings. Secondly, an increase in the number of preventive measures alternative to custody together with a permission to apply several of them at a time will significantly reduce the degree of the criminal procedural "repression". Providing the court with extensive tools to influence the behavior of suspects and defendants will allow it to operate more effectively in terms of ensuring their proper conduct.
