RODZAJE PRZESTRZENI LEŚNEJ W LITERATURZE DZIECIĘCEJ I MŁODZIEŻOWEJ

Abstract
The subject of interest is the forest space. Simultaneously, there is a need to remember that a tree (forest) has an extensive and deep symbolic meaning in cultural sources (the Bible and mythologies). Vladimir Propp stated that forests are dangerous places with a mys-terious atmosphere (the negative forest). But Joanna Papuzińska proved that forests can offer something special and she concentrates on the forest utopia (the positive forest). The forests, however, is also a border between the real and fantasy world. The main issue is: what kind of forest can be found in children‟s and youth literature? The negative, positive or another one?
