SELECTED MAINTENANCE PROPERTIES OF A NEWLY DESIGNED IDLER

Journal Title: Tribologia - Year 2014, Vol 254, Issue 2

Abstract

An important and actual task is to reduce energy consumption of belt conveyors in mining industry, also through reducing rolling resistances of idlers. This paper presents a new solution of idler with much lower rolling resistances than solutions used in belt conveyors so far, special stand for testing, and the results, and also information about tests in underground conditions.
