Abstract
Selected physical and mechanical properties of osanga wood (Pteleopsis hylodendron Mildbr.) with straight and striped grain. There are new species which have unrecognized properties on the European market. One of them is osanga wood with straight and striped grain – timber coming from Africa and imported mainly for decking. In this paper were presented the results of studies of selected physical and mechanical properties of the osanga wood. The advantages of this wood are high density and strengths and also low shrinkage.
