SEX-ROLE FACTORS OF PSYCHOLOGICAL DEFENSE FOR GIRLS

Abstract
Transformational realization of a young woman in today’s society is difficult. At different stages of a woman’s life there role conflicts associated with the collision of traditional female roles, such as reproductive, with roles that are associated with social and career implementation. Similar intra personal conflicts have a negative effect on the psychological, social and physical health of women. The use of psychological defense mechanisms in conflict situations aimed at reducing stress situation, depending on the type of protection can both facilitate and hinder a woman. Sex-role personality characteristics are basic cornerstones entities connected with the peculiarities of the functioning of a woman on an emotional, behavioral, cognitive and social levels. We can assume that the use of psychological defense mechanisms also driven by the peculiarities of sex-role identity. In the literature, there are indications that sex-roles factors poured into coping strategies women. However, this issue is still not fully defined. Objective: To determine the relation between the characteristics features of sexrole spaces and using different types of psychological defense. Methods: structural sex-role scale (O. S. Kocharyan, Ye.V. Frolova) questionnaire Plutchik, Kellerman, Conte, Life Style Index (LSI), mature personality questionnaire V. A. Ananiev. In the study90girlstookparticipate, students, aged 18–19 years. Conclusions: The use of immature psychological defense mechanisms are not driven by sex-role factors and is associated with other psychological structures that are not directly dependent on sex-role personality traits in girls. For androgynous girls who combined high performance as masculinity and femininity, characteristic is the use of more mature psychological defense mechanisms.
