SOME ASPECTS OF UPBRINGING IN MODERN PEDAGOGY

Abstract

In the article, some aspects of upbringing in modern pedagogy are researched. Despite the fact that upbringing accompanied human civilization at all times, the problems of upbringing today remain the most controversial in the scientific circle. Fundamental changes in society that are recently taking place require rethinking of the very essence of the phenomenon of upbringing, its place and role in public life. The article presents and comprehends different points of view of scholars on the subject of upbringing. The opinion that the teacher should be a leading, skilful "conductor of the pedagogical orchestra" in the plane of humane subject-to-subject relations between the teacher and student is substantiated. From this point of view, it is appropriate to consider upbringing as a pedagogical assistance in the formation of a person, which should be realized in the form of support, and management. It is proved that the pedagogical vector of upbringing of a person should be directed on spiritual and cultural values, on the occurrence of man in the world of culture. The emphasis is placed on the fact that the process of cultivating the Man of Culture should include his absorption of cultural norms of society, self-determination - allocation of society (self-determination, self-actualization, self-realization) and life self-affirmation in activity. The psychological and pedagogical mechanisms, which give a certain spiritual value, are presented as well as practical experience of work on the cultivation of spiritual values in student youth of Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University is presented. According to the author, this way will provide the opportunity to educate a decent person capable of overcoming all the obstacles and problems that have been created in society and to determine the preventive actions for the future development of modern civilization.
