SPECIAL EQUIPMENT IN LAW ENFORCEMENT ACTIVITY OF UKRAINE: HISTORICAL ASPECT

Abstract
This article analyzes the aspect of the formation of special equipment, the experience of its use in world history. It’s described the formation and use of special technical means at all stages of reforming the law enforcement system of Ukraine and the creation of structural units using technical means for countering crime are described. It is shown that the need for the application and development of special equipment is associated with the continuous improvement of criminal activity, including through the use of modern technical means. It is emphasized that the need to improve the special equipment used in law enforcement is also linked to the European vector of development of Ukraine.
