Abstract
The article is devoted to topical problems of the development of Ukraine's maritime law as a complex branch of Ukrainian law. The authors disclose the notion of the sources of the law of the sea and determine that the main source of the Ukrainian maritime law is the normative legal acts adopted by the competent bodies in the form of laws and by-laws. The article analyzes the notion of the Ukrainian maritime law, studies its main sources: laws, by-laws and customs. In the final part of the article, the authors formulated recommendations for amending the legislation in the part related to maritime issues.
