Abstract

School — Student — Life. Contemporary Challenges, Anxieties and Hopes One of the most important and timeless tasks of the school is preparing the young person to active participate in social and professional life as well as his implementation for self-development. Challenges for education included in strategic documents for education determine the current direction of school development and the student’s figure. The article refers to concerns (anxieties) related to the implementation of these demands, resulting from the provisions of the core curriculum and the style of teaching in schools. Based on field studies carried out in three schools implementing the pedagogy of the Dalton plan, the article also presents exemplifications showing how to successfully implement these postulates (hopes).
