Journal Title: Conjuntura Austral: journal of the Global South - Year 2019, Vol 10, Issue 51

Abstract

The article seeks to approach Michel Temer’s self-proclaimed “new Brazilian foreign policy”, and its effects over the relations with South America. Considering a review of Brazil’s initiatives for the regional approach, a historical and discursive analysis of this diplomacy is developed, indicating its guidelines, its agents, as well as possible changes in the meanings attributed to South American integration – a priority agenda for Brazilian foreign relations in the 21st century.
