Tests Performed on Hydraulic Turbines at Commissioning or after Capital Repairs. Part I. Tests Per-formed on a 78-MW Francis Turbine
Journal Title: Analele Universitatii "Eftimie Murgu" Resita. Fascicula de Inginerie - Year 2015, Vol 22, Issue 1
Abstract
The paper presents the tests recommended by the standards to be per-formed on a hydraulic turbine on commissioning, after repair works or refurbishment, and the manner in which these tests were executed in a hydro power plant equipped with a 75-MW Francis turbine and the results obtained.

On the Magnetic Flux Density Analytical Calculation in the Air-Gap of Electric Machines with Wide Open Slots
The magnetic flux density distribution in the air-gap of electric machines with wide open slots is discussed in the paper. The finite element methods (FEM) obtained results are compared with that calculated analytic esti...
Hydrostatic Devices used for Construction of Seismic Energy Dissipation Systems
Modern structures made today benefit from quality materials that en-sure their considerably long life. In addition to these materials, specific methods are used in order to counteract the dynamic actions that may require...
Influence of Thread Root Radius on Maximum Local Stresses at Large Diameter Bolts under Axial Loading
In the thread root area of the threaded bolts submitted to axial loading occur local stresses, higher that nominal stresses calculated for the bolts. These local stresses can generate failure and can reduce the fatigue l...
Hot Water Recirculation and Control, a Solution to Reduce Energy Consumption
For the energy consumption reduction in the buildings sector, EU pro-poses guidelines regarding energy performance. EU Member States must take measures to ensure the conversion of buildings into nearly zero energy buildi...
Optimizing the Cost of Manufacturing Welded Thermo-resistant Steel Pipes
The presence of stresses in the pipes of unalloyed and low alloyed steels with characteristics specified elevated temperature (high-temperature) can be put in the pipe-Dent the deformations occurring in the welded parts...
