The Dynamics of the Formal Model of the Creolized Verse Text and Its Pragmatic Influence
Journal Title: Вісник Житомирського державного університету імені Івана Франка - Year 2017, Vol 85, Issue 1
Abstract
The research deals with the structure of the creolized verse text in the form of the formal model. The creolized verse text is understood in the paper as the visual poetry in all its kinds: concrete poetry, shape poetry and zaum. The material is the visual poems of the American and Ukrainian poets. The proposed methodic is a combination of system-structural and linguosemiotic approaches to the study and interpretation of the creolized verse text. The structure of the text is shown as a mathematical formula where the nonverbal part of the creolized text is related to the verbal one by means of the division sign. The verbal part is represented by letters, morphemes, words and sentences. The nonverbal one includes graphic expressive means, graphic stylistic devices and pictorial elements. There is a traced interdependence between the dynamics of the creolized verse text structure and its pragmatic influence on the reader. The interdependence is discovered by means of comparison of the formal models of texts. While redefining the visual structure of the analyzed texts, the authors use more nonverbal elements and less verbal ones as a rule. Hence, the dynamics of the formal model of the creolized verse text is translocating to the nonverbal part of the creolization.
