THE DYNAMICS OF THE WILD BIODIVERSITY ANIMALS’ POPULATIONS GROWTH AS AN INDICATOR OF THE NATURE PRESERVATION EFFORTS EFFICIENCY (EXEMPLIFIED BY THE CHERNIHIV REGION)

Abstract

Short natural and resource characteristic of Chernihiv region is presented. Structure of the region protected territories and dynamics of their area are characterized. Interrelation features of preservation and long-term data of wildlife population size of economically valuable species as estimation criteria of environmental activities in the region are investigated. In terms of Chernihiv region increase the area of protected areas differently affect populations of economically valuable species of wild biodiversity: in 11 years of observations significantly reduced populations of elk and deer and increased - European roe deer. The main determinants identified trends is population both internally and external natural and anthropogenic factors require additional research aimed at preservation in-situ conservation efforts in Chernihiv region. Summarised results indicators populations of animals hunting grounds region form № 2-TP (hunting) "On hunting economy" allow for the environmental assessment of the effectiveness of environmental measures.
