THE INFLUENCE OF AW/EP ADDITIVES ON LUBRICATING PROPERTIES OF ECOLOGICAL OIL COMPOSITES
Journal Title: Tribologia - Year 2013, Vol 252, Issue 6
Abstract
The paper presents antiwear and extreme-pressure properties of lubricants containing ecological ashless AW/EP additives. The comparison with the commercial petrol additive was performed. The lubricants were prepared on oil bases in VG 46 and VG 68 viscosity grade. The bases were formulated from rapeseed and castor oils. After tribological examinations were analysed the wear scars. It was concluded that ecological ashless additives improve lubricating properties of vegetable oil bases. They can be applied instead of petrol ones.
