The Influence of Pressure Distribution on the Maximum Values of Stress in FEM Analysis of Plain Bearings
Journal Title: Robotica & Management - Year 2016, Vol 21, Issue 2
Abstract
Several methods can be used in the FEM studies to apply the loads on a plain bearing. The paper presents a comparative analysis of maximum stress obtained for three loading scenarios: resultant force applied on the shaft – bearing assembly, variable pressure with sinusoidal distribution applied on the bearing surface, variable pressure with parabolic distribution applied on the bearing surface.
