THE INTENSIFICATION OF EDUCATIONAL8COGNITIVE ACTIVITY OF FUTURE ENGINEERS BY MEANS OF MULTIMEDIA TECHNOLOGIES

Abstract

The article is dedicated to the problem of the intensification of educational cognitive activity of future engineers; on the basis of the analysis of experimental data the degree of effectiveness of multimedia technologies’ use in the process of studying of high school pedagogics was identified. Multimedia is the complex of the program means that realize the processing of information in sound and spectacular view with the use of animation, graphics, photos, video, sound and text that creates complex information medium. As the students’ educational work includes not only intellectual, but also emotional demonstration of personality, we were persuaded that depending on the character and the context of the emotions, they are either a stimulator or a brake in the mental process. If in the beginning intellectual feeling appears in the form curiosity’s emotions, as soon as the students get the answer to the questions, which were put in the process of cognitive activity, the curiosity’s emotions are substituted by the other emotions & satisfaction or dissatisfaction. In some cases these feelings are connected mostly with the process of cognitive activity, in the other cases – with its results. Here with the satisfaction is connected with overcoming of the difficulties, i.е. with the achievement of some partial results or with the complete fulfillment of the task. Dissatisfaction is created by the fact that the process of reproductive cognitive labour is simple enough, uniform and doesn’t require the demonstration of cognitive activity of students’ self&dependence. That’s why it’s necessary to build the educational work so that mental stress and emotional mood can be combined in it. The motivation sphere suggests the following ways of influence: the actualization of positive motifs, formed earlier; the creation of the conditions for new motifs’ forming and consequently the new qualities in them and in earlier formed motifs (stability, awareness, meaningfulness etc.); the correction of defective motifs. Here with from the didactical means it is necessary to set off the following: constant involvement of students into self&dependent searching individual, group and collective cognitive activity (the involvement of the systems of cognitive tasks, independent work of growing creative character); the creation of favourable atmosphere of educational activity; the strengthening of the emotional side of the lessons (the use of entertaining, the computer, the creation of the argument’s situations, the discussion) into the educational process. Thus, special attention should be paid to the forming of cognitive interest at the lessons; information technologies are very «helpful» in this case. One of the types of multimedia projects is computer presentations. Multimedia presentation is a modern way of information’s displaying. It’s a program product that can consist of text materials, photos, paintings, slide&show, sound design and recording accompaniment, video fragments and animation, three&dimensional graphics. For the creation of computer presentation of lecture the material in the disciplines such as «Pedagogics» and «High school pedagogics», the program Power Point, which is one of the most popular means of multimedia program products’ creation, was chosen. The given program permits the use of different graphical, audio& and video files.
