THE LEGAL GUARANTEES OF PERSON AND CITIZEN'S RIGHTS AND FREEDOMS: CONCEPT AND CRITERIA FOR CLASSIFICATION

Abstract
The contemporary scientific approaches to understanding of the essence and content of the notion «guarantees of the rights and freedoms» have been considered; and their specific features have been characterized. The author has stressed that guarantees in the most general form are definite legal means ensuring the realization of any right, assisting the realization of the interests and duties of a person and citizen covered by the legislation. The main criteria for classifying legal guarantees of the rights and freedoms have been determined. Analysis of the content of the main types of guarantees of a person and citizen’s rights and freedoms have been provided.
