The moderator impact of overqualification on the reletionship between perceived control and psychological ownership

Abstract

The exhibiting positive attitudes and behaviors of employees that owanage their organization in psychological context is often subjected investigations. This phonemenon which conceptualization as psychological ownership (PO) in foreign litarature express that although there are no officially employess’ ownership, employees can feel ownership for their organizations. However, in order to feel ownership in the psychological context, workers must utilize from the official ownership rights. In particular, the individual control right on the target object had been subject to much investigates as an important factor that contribute to the formation of PS by researchers. On the other hand, it is important to determine whether perceived overqualification that cause breaking away employees in emotional manner from their business and organization effects on the relationship between perceived control and PO or not. Because the perceived overqualification that develop as independent from perceived control and PO variables has a structure that can differentiate the perceived control and PS relation. In this research, it is aimed to investigate the moderator effect of Overqualification on the relationship perceived control and PO. Data were obtained through the questionnaire from bank employees working in Bitlis province. As a result of analyses that obtained based on theoretical hypothesis, it was detected that over qualification have moderator impact on the relationship perceived control and PO.
